The post-modern world has set aside and fragmented the concept of death. The familiarization that humanity once had with this inevitable truth, is now ruptured. How can we talk about the ultimate limit that is death without being ostracized? What can art gain by playing the role of mediator between the living and the dead? Through this interactive art piece, I intend to evoke those questions by using a happy pre-existing memory of a funhouse and merging it with a message of irrecocability. The gumball machine runs with coins that will be provided to the attendees and each one will receive their "gift" and prophecy. It's a message from the middle ages that "memento mori".
