Soapbox is a student-run publishing platform founded in 2018. It has since promoted scholarly, artistic, and interdisciplinary work that engages provocatively with cultural artefacts, concepts, and contemporary phenomena within the humanities. Soapbox advocates for multiplicity. The launch of issue 4.0: At the Interface will be on Thursday 29 June at OT301, Amsterdam.
The evening will kick off with a screening of the short film, "I’ve Always Wanted to See a Martian", by artist, filmmaker, and researcher Smaragda Nitsopoulou (Athens/Amsterdam). Then, we'll continue with a discussion and Q&A session with the filmmaker and some of the issue's contributors, exploring their various approaches to the theme of "interface".
