I'm showing my film Dead animals with a backstory in ANONYMOUS, a group exhibition at TAC in Eindhoven, running 26 June – 12 July 2026.

The film follows a swarm of sparrows trying to survive after being driven from their habitat. Unable to migrate, they take refuge in a posthumous identity. It's inspired by the 1958 "Eliminate Sparrows" campaign launched by the Chinese Communist Party — a mass mobilisation that helped trigger the Great Chinese Famine. From that history the work draws a line to today's ecological crises and the questions of identity that come with them.

The show asks: can you separate the art from the artist — and is that even possible? What does a name, a background, a set of experiences have to do with the work? Nothing. Everything. Every piece in ANONYMOUS was selected blind, on the work alone.

ANONYMOUS works on a single premise: every piece is selected blind, purely on its own merits, with no name attached. The art speaks first.

Opening: Friday 26 June, 19:0026 June – 12 July 2026 · Saturdays & Sundays, 14:00–19:00TAC, Ventoselaan 1, Eindhoven · Free entry Further info here.
